myageingparent.com has been set up by Alex Ingram and Deborah Stone
Both of us lost our fathers some years ago and have a single parent living. We know first-hand how important it is to try to ensure that our parents are happy, contented and as healthy as possible.
Sometimes, we help them with little everyday tasks, such as sorting out car insurance, or banking. On other occasions, the problems we have to deal with have been more serious, such as falls at home and getting the right care for recuperation. We were finding it very difficult to find all the information we needed and it often took a long time to locate the right advice.
So we developed the concept of myageingparent.com, a website aimed at helping you to help them, whether it is your elderly parent, older friend or relative. Packed full of information, it is a proactive site, which helps you find the answers to all the questions you might have. Whether you need specific information on care options, funding, or how to keep your older relatives active, busy and healthy, myageingparent.com provides it all. And of course, there are many helpful articles for you as well on how to cope with the stress of looking after your parents as they age.
myageingparent.com also offers an online shop for a variety of helpful products designed to assist with elderly care and has some great gift ideas as well.
We have set up our forum, to give you the opportunity to ask questions and get advice from others in a similar situation, so please do share your problems and any solutions you may have.
You can register with us free of charge and receive a regular newsletter on all aspects of elderly care to make sure that you are always up to date with the latest government initiatives, reports, articles and advice.
We hope you find the website useful and we would be very grateful for any feedback you may have. Please contact us on [email protected].
