Devon

Lake District

Lake District is a popular holiday destination and is situated in the North West of England. As the largest National Park in England there is plenty to do and see. It was also home to poets, Coleridge and Wordsworth. Following the poets’ footstepswalk around the breathtaking mountains and large lakes, which enrich visitor’s experience. England’s highest mountain is in the Lake District and it is called the Scafell Pike. It is a scenic place packed with events and activities. There are many free events and guided walks that visitors can take part in. It is said that the best time to visit in in April and May.

It is a great holiday destination for visitors in their later years who are looking to venture a little further, whilst  still staying in the UK.
